Essence.ai is an AI-powered service that helps you build a portable understanding of who you are — your values, preferences, communication style, and personal context — through natural conversation. This "essence profile" can be exported for use with other AI services and applications.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Upload or transmit malicious code or content

5. Your Content and Data

Ownership: You retain ownership of all content and data you provide to the Service, including your conversations and essence profile.

License: By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide and improve the Service. This license terminates when you delete your account.

Portability: You may export your essence profile at any time in a portable format for use with other services.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by Essence.ai and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze your conversations and generate insights. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may not always be perfect. You acknowledge that:

  • AI insights are suggestions, not definitive assessments
  • You should review and edit your essence profile as needed
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ESSENCE.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
